Question
Hello.I am an hematologist. I am looking for a used/new microscope, I examine blood and bone marrow smears and lymph node biopsies. I usually use 10 40 and 100 objectives. I am also interested in taking pictures from the microscope and/or connecting the image to a computer (not a must). Do you have something available?

Rollator

Question
I just purchased a rollator to use for my mother who has difficulty walking distances. The instructions said it is not to be used to push someone. She weighs 145 pounds and the maximum weight is 250 pounds. Would it be safe to push her on straight floors such as in a store and parking lot?If not, I will need to return to the store where I puchased the rollator.Thank you.

Answer

Rollators are not designed to push people around.  Their intended use is to provide individual support while walking or sitting.  We would recommend keeping the rollator for those times when your mother is able to cover short distances on her own.  When you need to assist your mother, we would recommend a Travel & Transport Wheelchairs.  These chairs are light and can be quickly folded for easy transportation.

Lift Chair

Question
I bought my dad a lift chair and he needs to be a little higher, either by something in the seat of the chair or the chair elevated by way of something on the floor on which the chair would sit. Do you have any suggestions?Thank you...

Answer

There is no simple response to this question.  The lift chairs are already designed to be practical and safe.  Any alterations or modifications to the chair may change those primary design principals.  Since lift chairs are available for differently sized individuals, you may be able to trade the chair for a different size with a minimum of expense.  If the chair has been recently purchased, you may only have to pay for return shipping charges.  We would recommend contacting the manufacturer or the company from which the chair was purchased and speak with them about your options options.

over bed table

Question
what is the required clearance under the bed for Deluxe, Tilt-Top Overbed TableItem #: 80031DRV

Answer

The rule of thumb is to have enough clearance between the mattress top and the bottom of the overbed table so that when in use, the table is not in contact with the individual.

The base of the table is only 2-3 inches high.  You should have enough room underneath the bed to allow the table to slide freely in-and-out.
