Im looking for some type of brace or attachment to add onto a walker. My mother has limited use of right hand and cannot grip a walker firmly. Relying on the use of a cane is putting strain on one side of her back.

The item that may be of use for your mother is a platform attachment, this allows the user to rest their forearm on a "crutch" that attaches to the walker:

Question about wrist splints

Question
Hello, As I am browsing through the wrist splints, I saw one advertised as without dorsal stays. Can you please tell me what exactly dorsal and palmar stays are? If I am looking for a splint with as much immobilization as possible, do I want one with both dorsal and palmar stays? Thank you, Tracy

Answer
The dorsal stay is a rigid piece of plastic or metal inserted into a pocket on the top of the hand.  The palmar stay is the same thing inserted into the palm side of the brace.  These stays provide additional support to help the hand stay in the position supported by the brace.
