Can this be used for non-ambulatory decon patients

Thank you for your inquiry. Below is the reply given by the manufacturer and as per their note, it is not recommended that this cot be used for a decon situation.

Equipment for decon is specialized. Patients or those to be decontaminated are usually brought to an area where portable facilities are set up. If on a cot, they are transferred to a spineboard and put on a roller system so they can be “decon’d”. Ambulatory patients or victims usually pass through special deluge showers.

The bottom line, cots are not normally used for this. While our cots are made with aluminum, vinyl, etc., there could be damage to the nuts/bolts and possibly the bearings in the wheels, so we advise against use for decontamination purposes.

We have an 850cc canister that without lid is 6in H and the diameter at top is 5in and bottom is 3.25in.  The lid dimensions are 5in wide and at highest port 3in high.

I am looking for a manikin that can be put into the lithotomy position. can this manikin be put into that position with the use of stirrups

This manikin does have hinged knees and is mobile at the hip, however the positioning may not be true to the lithotomy position.  Did you need the manikin/simulator to have any specific pelvic features for procedural training, or will you more-so be using this manikin for positioning purposes only?
