How wide is the base It looks more narrow than the 24 inch bed. Im trying to find something to fit down a very narrow part of a hallway. 19 inches between appliance and wall. If top half can be raised and lowered it could pass over the appliance. Thank you.

I am an Infection Control nurse involved with a physiotherapy dept, and was wondering if you have any information about hygiene with paraffin wax baths. i.e. how often should the wax be changed and the bath cleaned etc I am concerned that the bath could be contaminated with bacteria from the patient''s hands which could then grow as the temp is only 40-44 degrees.
