I am packing a wound for my room mate.They showed me how at the hospital. I packed the wound till I felt resistance all the way to the surface so the wound can not close up. Then applied 4x4 dressing and taped it. I wore rubber gloves, and kept everything sterle. Did I do it right?

Thank you for your inquiry.  This item is actually equipped with stainless steel shelves, and unfortunately, we do not have any weight testing information on them.  However, being quality stainless steel, they are quite durable. 

This unit is available with glass shelves in model number 4387SSUMF.  Unfortunately, we do not have any weight testing information on this item either, however the glass will not be able to withstand as much weight as the SS model.  If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to remit them to brittany@msecompany.net .

As long as the strips have been stored in a sealed package at room temperature and not exposed to excess moisture or other corroding elements, they may last for a year or more.  If you are unsure of the "freshness" of the test strips, you may want to run a test with one brand new strip and one "old" one to see if you get the same results.

Hello,I need to keep 10 lbs of hot dogs in a cooler for approximately 4hours at a show as we steam and serve them. How many polar ice would you suggest we need to keep them chilled? Thanks for your professional help.Claire Wilson

Hello Claire:

The best estimate may be done by determining how many hot dogs can be laid accross each ice pack.  If you are using a regular size pack of about 10-12 hot dogs then you should be able to put down 4 packs across a 12x12 ice pack.  Then determine how many packages of hot dogs constitute 10 lbs and divide the number by 4.  The packages of hot dogs should be sandwiched between the ice packs and that should keep the hot dogs nice and fresh.  Also, consider purchasing dry ice which will last a very long time and will not melt (it evaporates).  Hope this helps.
