My son fractured his wrist playing ice hockey. I am looking for a brace to suuport his wrist when he returns to the ice. The injury was caused by his hand being forced backward so that his knuckles touched touched his forearm (sorry, I know the image this conveys is gruesome) so the brace needs to prevent this while allowing for as much wrist dexterity as possible.What do you recommend and, we live in Canada so are there distributors I should call or will direct mail work?

I have a 17 year old that has had 2 surgeries on his elbow. He has been told if he snowboards again or falls on it playin any sport, he will dislocate it again and the surgery options will be less helpful. The problem is that he, with their limitations can't really play any sports where he might fall down. I would wonder if there isn't a plastic molded cast, that is contour sensitive foam filled that can be velcoed on that would completely imobiize his arm allowing him to snowboard. I would think of this device as a clamshell shaped with 4 or 5 velcor straps holding the two side together. Any directions on where we might buy or have one custome done?
