M.D. recommends a device that goes on cannula to increase 5 liters of O2 to 6 liters or more. He called it an oxymiser. Is there such a thing?

Answer

The item is called the oxymizer.  It is used to extend oxygen duration by reducing the flow of oxygen required to saturate a patient.  When the patient is breathing out, a reservoir contained within the facepiece or pendant fills with oxygen and is then delivered to the patient upon inhalation.  This process reduces the use of oxygen by as much as 75% over continuous flow.  In other words, the device makes efficient use of the oxygen by controlling the air flow when it is not required by the patient.

Unfortunately, we do not have technical specification with regard to the decibel level generated by these low air pressure mattresses.  However, these pumps are designed for critical care applications and are located beneath the bed, thus further reducing any potential noises.

We are looking for a lift recliner for my mother-in-law. We live out of town so I am doing my research at home. She lives in Houston. She does not want a bulky chair, in fact she wants it fairly narrow. I saw the Slimline on your site. Please tell me if there is a warranty and what it is.
