Lisfranc ligament

Question
I need to know about a lesión of the Lisfranc ligament. Wat Is.the best For the foot for walking whith the lesión of the Lisfranc ligament. Thank you

Answer

It is recommended after the injury to not bear any weight or very minimal pressure on the foot for approximately ten weeks.

After this period, you could proceed to wearing a "cam walker" or shelled walking boot.  This still allows protection of the foot but also will allow you to bear some weight without re-injuring the foot.

Below is a link to some of our shell walkers that might be useful: http://www.medical-supplies-equipment-company.com/SP/PPF/Param/809448_0_1_0/Products.asp

Non-skid Shoe Cover, 7008DMAISG

Question
I need booties for people to wear while touring an historic home. I want good quality as the booties are put on and taken off multiple times. Is this a good choice

Answer

All of our disposable shoe covers are considered "single use" products, however if they are worn lightly, they may be able to be adorned multiple times.

If you are looking for something with a non-skid bottom that would likely last for multiple uses, I might recommend our Dotted Bottom Shoe Covers.

Trilogy 100 Ventilator, 001IRTBEM

Question
What is the PEEP mean om the trilogy 100

Answer

Positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) is the pressure in the lungs (alveolar pressure) above atmospheric pressure (the pressure outside of the body) that exists at the end of expiration. The two types of PEEP are extrinsic PEEP (PEEP applied by a ventilator) and intrinsic PEEP (PEEP caused by a non-complete exhalation). Pressure that is applied or increased during an inspiration is termed pressure support.

Applied (extrinsic) PEEP — is usually one of the first ventilator settings chosen when mechanical ventilation is initiated. It is set directly on the ventilator.

A small amount of applied PEEP (3 to 5 cmH2O) is used in most mechanically ventilated patients to mitigate end-expiratory alveolar collapse. A higher level of applied PEEP (>5 cmH2O) is sometimes used to improve hypoxemia or reduce ventilator-associated lung injury in patients with acute lung injury, acute respiratory distress syndrome, or other types of hypoxemic respiratory failure.
