Thank you for the inquiry.  This stretcher is collapsable (it lowers and rises).  The bars on the side fold down in order for the patient to get on and off easily or be transferred to a bed. We are looking for a sling for my mother-in-law who has MS, she is at the last stages and cannot move any part of her body on her own, we are looking for a good sling that will fit the manual lift, that she will not fall out of, they are all too big, she is 5 2 and about 160 lbs,
