Question
Attention repair shops or o2 companies that do repairs. I have a good 50 plus melleniums first generation that are in need of repair. Most are in need of compressor repair. I have updated my equipment and will not be using these anymore. I am sure there is someone who would love to have these at the price of $25 each plus the shipping. We are in Rocky Mountain Region. They are mostly on pallets and ready to ship. We always donated these in the past to 3rd world countries but this year we found out that the charities we were donating to are not in the position to take them. So we will be ready to ship to you at $25 each. You pay the shipping charges. Most of these have the OPI oxygen percentage indicator on them. Most are in great condition on the outside. Rather than bother to repair them we have always donated them to charity. If you are a repair shop this is a great investment for you. I also have regulators and other respiratory products for sale.

Contact Ed Fritz at Ed.Fritz@AdvantageMedicalSystems.com 888-492-4049 x10.  They specialize in O2 concentrator service and repair.

Question
I have a congenital fusion between my skull and C1. Currently, the only thing that I've found that helps is weekly massages and that gets expensive. How well does this product work and what can I expect from it? Is there a money back guarantee? Is there somewhere I can go to try it out? Thanks

Answer

 Dear Doug:

Unfortunately, we rarely hear feedback about the products once they are sold.   If the item is not returned, we assume that the client is pleased with the purchase.  If that is any indication of the quality of this unit, looking over sales data, it appears that none of these items have actually been returned for a refund or exchanged.

You can review our Return Policy

You will need to check your local yellow pages for a list of orthopedic product retailers for availability of this product.

Question
I noticed a equipment at one of nursing home. it is very useful for old person who was on stroke with left hand size paralysed. It is a roller in the center with 2 handles on right and left side and the size is not huge and you can put on the table for a person who still have the right arm to move even though the left side is paralysed. 2 hands hold on the 2 handles, left side and right side. You can use the right hand side, the only hand can roll the roller, moving in the direction of forward and backward, like in the circle. I think this is handy for the paralyzed person anytime to do exercise when they are sitting at the table. I am looking for they name the equipment and would like to buy one for my mom. I hope you can help and find for me. I saw the nursing home are using it for the old person to do the exercise. Please confirm as soon as possible.

Answer

Mabel,

We do not have a piece of equipment like this.  We do have a Hand Skate Exerciser.  It seems that what you are looking for seems to be something similar to the "Ab Roller" exerciser.  I'm sorry we couldn't be of any more assistance.

Question
My husband weighs 200lbs 5'8 tall with severe lumbar and cervical spinal stenosis plus advanced nueropathy in hands and legs. He is very uncomfortable in a standard electric hospital bed which we rented covered by Medicare and AARP Supplemental policy. Is there a wider bed available and if so, would it be covered? Thank you for your reply.

Answer

Beds wider than 34-36 inch standard hospital beds are readily available and typically fall into the category of bariatric beds.  If your husbands bed also comes with a standard foam or spring matterss, you may also want to consider upgrading to a gel filled or low air pressure mattress.  Unfortunately, we dont accept Medicare or insurance coverage, so we can only advise you to consult with a durable medical equipment dealer (DME) in your area.  Many DMEs will take Medicare and insurance as a form of payment.

Question
Hi - I have heard that there is a device that plugs into a vehicle power outlet and inflates and deflates to stimulate blood circulation in a leg. Much like the ones that are used in hospitals for bedridden patients. Do you know of such a product and where I might buy one?

Answer
These are called Intermittent Pneumatic Compression Boots.  However, these are not recommended for use while driving.

Question
Does it matter which way sensor is applied? I.e., can cord side be on palm side of hand or should it be on back of hand?

Answer
The sensor device is located near the finger tip.  Use of the device as illustarted with the probe along the back of the palm may provide more consistant readings.
