Thank you for the inquiry.  Yes, you can leave the patient in the chair while you set in the sleeping position. Instructions come with the chair, you must be very slow and cafeful depending on how delicate the patients condition is.

We purchased the manual youth bed for our daughter and have found that the side rails don't seem to be high enough. Grace is 5 and we need to be able to raise them up higher so she will not be able to lean over and fall out. Is there a way to raise them more, or can we get some sort of side rail addition?  Unfortunately, we do not have any extenders for these side rails and the raised height is the highest they are able to extend.
