Thank you for the inquiry.  The brace and strap can be worn under your clothing, of course anything too fitting might pose a problem, but underneath a sweather and/or loose fitting clothing would be fine.

You will have to take into consideration the weight of the plate in you arm to get your actual body weight, but other than that you should not have any problems using traditional spring loaded digital and non-digital scales.
