Thank you for your inquiry.  To answer your question and resolve the issue with your One Touch Basic, please adhere to the following:

Error Messages
ERROR2
RETEST

1. The test strip moved during the test.  Repeat the test with a new strip.
   
2. The test strip was not inserted correctly.  Repeat the test with a new strip.
   
3. The test strip was removed before the test was completed.  Repeat the test with a new test strip.
   
4. There was not enough blood on the test strip.  Repeat the test with a new strip.
   
5. The meter was used in very bright light.  Move the meter away from the light source.  Repeat the test with a new test strip.
   
6. The check strip procedure was incorrect.  Repeat the check strip test.
   
7. The meter may not be operating correctly.  Call LifeScan Customer Service at 1-800-227-8862.

1) There is a  manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty on the frame and 1 year warranty on electric components.  2) The bed comes disassembled, but is designed to be quickly and easily put together. We have not had any calls from individuals who had difficulty with the assembly. 3) The Comfort series full-electric beds only adjust the patient's upper and lower body position.  The actual bed does not move up and down.  4) The patient can have access to the control, but it could be moved out of a patient's reach, if necessary.  For any further questions, please call us toll free at 877-706-4480.

I forgot I bought a twin box of Accu-Chek strips and threw away the little piece that goes into the meter after buying a new box. Now I have a container of test strips and no way to use them. Can you help?

Unfortunately, the missing component comes pre-packaged with the strips and we do not sell them separately.  A probable solution is to purchase a smaller container of the strips and use the meter insert from that box.
