Question
WHAT DO I DO AND IS THIS DANGOUS
Answer
Dear Wendel:
We would recommend that you contact your local duct cleaning company for an inspection and cleaning. Some type of molds are considered harmful others are benign. Once your house is cleared of mold you may want to consider investing in an Air Purifier-utilizing both activated oxygen and negative ions. It can oxidize the molecules which cause odors that could contaminate indoor air which can aggravate allergic reactions such as sneezing, sinus and ear irritations, asthma and itchy eyes by significantly reducing chemical gases, paint fumes, fungi and mold. Please contact us with any other recommendations that may provide your house with a permanent mold free environment.

Question
My company, Inogen, has developed a portable concentrator and is interested in the possible implementation of online distributors such as yourselves. I was wondering, I know your patients pay out of pocket up front for the equipment they buy from you but do they get reimbursed at all through private insurance later? Do you help them obtain reimbursement at all? Is it too big of a hassle or are they unable to obtain insurance coverage or medicare coverage if they purchase the equipment on their own and do not follow the typical provider model?
Answer
Hi Byron:
Thank you for your inquiry. We do not accept Medicair/ Medicaid coverage and we typically do not deal with insurance companies. We would, however, be interested in reviewing your product line. If you have any information please email it to gary@msecompany.net or mail it to: MSEC, 6009 Richmond Avenue, Suite 200, Houston, TX 77057. Do you drop ship?

Question
I had hip surgery, left side. The entire leg swells up including the foot. It has been 14 days as of today. 1: Should the leg still be swelling up after 2 weeks? Do you have a special sock that will cover foot, keg and knee that might help. 3: Can you tell me if this is a normal condiiton after major hip surgery. TksTom Burch
Answer
Dear Mr. Burch:
Thank you for your inquiry. Swelling is normal after any major surgery. Recuperation time depends on your age, general health as well as the type of surgery you undergone. We do carry several different products that may help you to keep the swelling down such as Therapeutic Support Thigh High Stockings. Because these products come in different size and compressions it would be best if you contact us so that we can select the proper size for you. Depending on the size and compression a pair is sold for $45 to $50.

Question
I am looking for two types of items for a hip injury to help in rehab. One is a cold pack wrap that will stay on my right side covering entirely the hip and gludial area on the right side. I also need a support girdle that will extend down to the knee. I currently use a wide ace bandage wrap ( substituing for the hip and gludial muscles until I can re-build these muscles to support the numb foot and lower leg ) however the constant separating and tugging is driving me crazy! I have 4 kids and I need both the cold wrapy and support system to allow for mobility. Any ideas?
Answer
Dear Ms. Aguila:
Thank you for your inquiry. The two product that we have the may remotely fit your needs is the Universal 10" Abdominal Binder and Lumbar Sacral Supports. We do not carry any cold pack wrap that would meet your description.

Question
can these be used with kids? I am thinking of using these with a 4 foot tall child.
Answer
Dear Ms. Landy:
Thank you for your inquiry. Theeuro style forearm crutch has an adjustable height from 29" to 38" (in one-inch increaments) for a custom fit. We would recommend measuring the distance from the floor to the base of the bent forearm in a straight line to determine if that distance falls within the adjustbale height of 29-38 inches. Question
I have been diagnosed with myofascial pain in my shoulder. I've tried a lot of treatments. Nothing works. I've heard ethyl chloride spray is very good. What do you suggest and how do you use and store it?
Answer
Ethyl Chloride spray should provide you with temporary relief from pain in your shoulder. To apply simply point the nozzle at the affected area and compress to spray. Be careful to close your eyes and try not to enhale during the application process. You may wish to wear safety glasses and a mask, or simply throw a towel over your face. The product should be stored in a cool, dry location.

I'm looking for some IV poles and clamps that can be attached to surgery tables or guerneys.
Answer
Dear Mr. Fleming:
Thank you for your inquiry. At this time we do not carry the the IV tree separately. The IV tree is the top section that has the hooks for the IV bags. On a typical stand, the top portion can be removed and placed into a holder on a table/ guerney.

Question
Can a kitchen stool bought at a medical supply store also be used as a shower stool or are there differences and is a separate shower stool needed?
Answer
A shower chair is made out of light weight, mildew & rust resistant materials such as plastic and aluminum. It may also come with non slippery base for the legs. A shower chair is designed to enable the water to seep through, without collecting on the seating area. Additionally the chair may have adjustable seat height and may come in a size that would fit into a standard bathtub or shower. Furthermore, it is not a good idea to use the same chair for standing and sitting on. Ultimately, we would recommend investing in a shower chair. We offer a large selection of bath chairs and stools. Ultimately, it is safer and healthier.
