My father-in-law, an 80 year old diabetic semi-retired physician, is having trouble getting his legs into bed at night, and is currently sleeping with his legs hanging over the side. Is there a medical bed that is designed to help him get his legs into bed or perhaps I should ask what appliances do we need to make this as easy as possible for us taking care of him.

I need a tens unit. Do I have to have a perscription? If not how do I know which one I need for back muscles?(p.s- I lost my insurance and cannot go to any doctors or P.T...Had back surgery last Jan and doing well except some daily pain as I slowly get better & fibromyalgia makes it even slower.
