The particular Mechanical Height Rod you had referenced is an accessory for scales manufactured by Detecto Scales.  However, Stand-Alone Digital Height Rod , item# MWRHDDET should work independently of the scale type since it is mounted to a wall.

I want this bed with a bariatic low air loss mattress 9363GEND which is a regular width single bed. I would prefer a standard length bed but can get by with an extra long twin. I am only 5 ft. 4 inches tall so I do not need the extra space. I weigh 350 lbs. and need a hospital bed.
