Good Evening,I have a used Nellcor N-200. When turned on it comes up with an Error "6". Can you tell me what that error code is? I am assuming it is a bad battery. The second question is. Can I clean it as recommended then run it through the dishwasher? While the diswhasher doesn't get hot enough to sterilize, it does get hot enough to eradicate many species of bacteria. I'm concerned about whether or not 158 degrees F would melt the tubing. Please reply by email

Dear Cheryl:

We would not recommend washing the tubing in the dish washer.  Overtime, warm temperatures and abrasive cleaners will have a deteriorating effect on the tubing.  The best recommendation is to soak the tubing in mild soap water and then rinse it with filtered water.
